Applied knowledge of controls and instrumentation

Ability to read blueprints and assemble parts according to specifications

Applied knowledge of hand tools and power tools

Ability to read and use precision measurement equipment

Ability to read and understand written instructions

Willingness to cross train in other areas of the plant as needed

Ability to work with and assist with set-ups and training on off shifts

May occasionally be required to lift or move objects of up to 50 pounds

Good work history, job tenure, and regular, predictable attendance

Robotic experience preferred

Experience reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments

Experience setting stops or guides to specified sizes by scale, rule, or template

Experience positioning work pieces against stops or aligning layout marks with a die or blade

Experience operating machine controls and observing operation to detect defects or malfunctions

Experience measuring work piece dimensions to verify machine accuracy and product specifications

Experience performing minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces

Experience assisting with machine set-up and stacking, marking, or packing finished work pieces

Experience training and assisting new operators on machine set-up and operation

Experience supporting 5S standards for machines and work areas
