Must be physically fit and able to walk all areas of the facilities and grounds, to restrain those who need restraint and be able to assist nursing staff with lifting patients of all sizes.

Must be proficient with the use of a PC to generate electronic daily activity security reports, incident reports, emails and other applicable electronic correspondence during the performance of duties.

Demonstrated competence with handgun, hand cuffs, baton, non-crisis intervention certification and two-way radios.

High School Diploma or its equivalent required

Valid Driver's license required

Candidates must maintain an acceptable driving record to meet CHRISTUS Health standards for positions requiring driving. An unacceptable record includes, but is not limited to: * One or more moving violations within a 12-month period. * One or more chargeable accidents within a 12-month period. Chargeable means the driver is determined to be the primary cause of the accident. * Contributing factors such as weather or mechanical issues will be considered. * Any combination of accidents and/or moving violations. * Violations include any ticket, charge, or other law enforcement proceeding related to these, as well as independent evidence of violations deemed relevant by CHRISTUS Health Security.

For Texas positions: * Must hold an active Level 3 Commission with the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau (TDPSPSB). * New hires who have completed the TDPSPSB security commission course must obtain their commission prior to hire. * If the license status is ACTIVE in TOPS and the pocket card has not yet been received, the licensee may begin working. * Until the pocket card is received, the licensee must carry proof of ACTIVE status (e.g., screenshot or printed copy from TOPS) while on duty.

Minimum two (2) years of armed security experience (may substituted by Honorable Military Service) preferred

Law enforcement experience preferred

Healthcare security experience preferred

Verbal De-escalation training must be completed within 60 days of hire

BLS required within 60 days of hire

Expandable Baton training, defensive tactics training, firearms training, weapon qualification, and firearms retention training must be completed prior to letter of authorization to carry is issued

Successful completion of all pre-employment and post offer assessments to include the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory -2 (MMPI-2-RF-PCIR); the California Psychological Inventory (CPI); the Police and Public Safety Selection Report (PPSSR); the Personal Experience Inventory (PEI) and a clinical interview by a third personal psychologist

Will be required to take random drug test screening

For New Mexico positions: * Officers may not carry a weapon on duty until completing 40 hours of training and receiving a letter of authorization from the CHRISTUS Vice President of Security to carry a CHRISTUS Health-assigned weapon.

For Louisiana positions: * Officers may not carry a weapon on duty until completing 40 hours of training and receiving a letter of authorization from the CHRISTUS Vice President of Security to carry a CHRISTUS Health-assigned weapon.

In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.

The salary range for this position is: $77,120.00 - $147,390.00

Basic Understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python, Mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and z/OS.+

Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, AppDynamics, Azure Monitor, or similar platforms.

Ability to analyze logs, traces, metrics, and application performance data to identify service degradation and outage conditions.

Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker containers, and microservice-based applications.

Understanding of API-driven architectures and integration technologies.

Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar operational platforms.

Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Knowledge Management processes.

2+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, or production environments, including troubleshooting across multiple technology domains.

Experience in an Enterprise Availability Command Center (ACC), Production Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or comparable service restoration environment, with direct involvement in high-severity incident response and recovery activities.

Working knowledge of observability, automation, service resiliency, SRE principles, and operational process improvement.

Experience working within Incident Management processes and operational support procedures, with the ability to coordinate technical teams and communicate effectively during service disruptions.

Experience supporting highly regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare;

ITIL Foundation certification and Azure or AWS certifications preferred

US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner
